Ready, set, SMASH -- a partnership deal!
The alliance names goodr an official partner for all CLG teams and includes a joint venture to create CLG branded sunglasses. In addition, goodr will receive promo on CLG’s Twitch channel, product integration in CLG content and the ability to activate alongside CLG at events. Also, all the CLG athletes agree to let goodr employees win if they ever compete in League of Legends, Fortnite, Super Smash Bros, Counter Strike or Apex.
Due to their insatiable lust for power, goodr expanded to other verticals, creating performance sunglasses for running, beasting, cycling, golfing and gaming. On October 30, GAME goodr launched their first collection, the 8-Bit Line: 8 shades inspired by retro gaming*. Five pairs have blue light filter glasses because blue light is allegedly harmful.**
“We’re extremely excited to partner with CLG because they share our values for fun, authenticity and challenging the status quo,” said goodr CEO Stephen Lease, while totally destroying Carl the Flamingo on Super Smash. Bros. “HE’S CHEATING! HE’S CHEATING!” cried goodr’s other CEO, Carl the Flamingo, while waving his wings in Stephen’s face to distract him. “I don’t know how he’s cheating, but he is! Screw it! I quit! Screw all of you!”
* The names are Professional Respawner, Side Scroll Eye Roll, Wakka Wakka Wakka Wakka, Modern Day Snake Oil, Blue Shades of Death, Insert Coin To Continue, Rage Quit And Hit It, and It’s Not Just A Game.
** Yup, allegedly. Scientists disagree. But we figure if blue light might be bad for your eyes, you might as well take the precaution, while looking like a living thirst trap. (No might there!)
