Psst! Curious what goes into our sunglasses design? Here's a peek behind the curtain. From picking a style, color, frame shape, and name, we craft each sunnie like it was forged on Mount Olympus. Only it was actually at a studio in Inglewood by humans who may, or may not, consume way too much caffeine and immunity shots. Alright, enough chit chat, let’s delve into the magic behind the awesome, polarized sunglasses that grace your screen (and face).

From Concept to Creation: How goodr Designs Its Signature Shades

We take our sunglasses' design inspiration from the world around us. Pop culture, animals, pre-existing IPs, our Flamigos’ brains, to name a few of our inspirations. Around here, we like to let our freak flags fly and our minds go wild, so the possibilities are endless, and we have fun with the process.

While we let our imaginations run wild, we keep our four F’s top-of-mind: Fun, Fashionable, Functional, and ‘Ffordable. We want shades that can keep up with you without compromising your aesthetic or wallet. Marrying performance with personality is our specialty here, and we want to make sure our sunglasses pass the vibe check.

Colors are also just as important, so we ensure we’re always offering a wide range of colorful sunnies to satisfy every style craving. These mild to wild colors have served as inspo to some of our iconic sunglasses names (see Lilac Like That or In My Periwinkle Prime). Collaboration is key here, meaning various people and departments have an input throughout the process–brand and product strategy, designers, copy, athletes, and people like you!!! If we’re all satisfied, we know we’ve got a winner on our hands!

• Lens polarization with 100% UV protection: We’re in the business of deflecting those UVA and UVB rays from your eyes, and we don’t mess around, which is why all of our sunglasses have full UV400 protective coating. All sunglasses also include polarized lenses to help reduce light glare and eye strain, and to enhance visual clarity so your sight stays sharp.
