So, without further ado, here’s what’s been going down at cycling's biggest race of the year...
STAGE ONE: NICE MOYEN PAYS > NICE
Super important to note 66th place on the stage went to Nils Politt of Israel Start-up Nation. If there were 666+ riders racing, we’d be focused on 666th place, but there’s not, so we’ll settle for 66th place.
STAGE TWO: NICE HAUT PAYS > NICE
66th overall after 2 stages goes to Diego Rosa (Team Arkea-Samsic).
STAGE THREE: NICE > SISTERON
Alaphilippe kept the yellow, Sagan is back in green and Cyril Barthe, who’s name sounds like lost 5th Golden Girl, of B&B HOTELS - VITAL CONCEPT P / B KTM moved on into 66th place taking that coveted spot in Hell.
STAGE FOUR: SISTERON > ORCIÈRES-MERLETTE
To the most important update of the stage: 66th place overall is Bob Jungles of DECEUNINCK - QUICK - STEP. What a sweet name.
STAGE FIVE: GAP > PRIVAS
Sam Bennet had a DAY and took over the green jersey and down in hell in 66th, Nelson Oliveira of Movistar. If the malls were open we’d head to the Gap right now to checkout their cycling line.
STAGE SIX: LE TEIL > MONT AIGOUAL
What did happen was a major tussle in the middle, probably, that saw CCC rider Simon Geschke ride straight into Hell and 66th place.
STAGE SEVEN: MILLAU > LAVAUR
Of course, down in Hell, Nils Politt came back to be our first repeat rider in Hell! Israel Start-up Nation must be STOKED. Cycling Cycling Cycling!
...Do you ever get so caught up in the action of a sporting event that you completely blackout and don’t remember anything except for how exciting it was? Well, that’s exactly what happened with Carl during the 2nd week of the Tour de France -- that and an untold number of piña coladas. Regardless, now that one of the most exciting Tours de France has come to a close, we thought it was important to recap some of our favorite moments.
