BENEFITING BREAKING SILENCE

As an organization, Breaking Silence wants to acknowledge that speaking up can sometimes be the hardest thing to do and often comes very late in a survivor’s journey. Not all survivors always feel like they can be soaring eagles, ready to share their story, especially publicly. Like a flamingo standing, silent, amongst the flock, the first step toward healing can simply and powerfully be one thought or a gut feeling. A quiet, pivotal moment that changes a survivor’s life forever. Eventually, with the support of other flamingos and eagles, Flamingos Can Fly Too.
